Welcome Message

Our Mission

Although, sailboats are what we use for travel, exploration, and enjoyment, we ourselves are much like a vessel. We are a creation that has been launched on a journey upon a sea that is to be navigated. Our sails are powered by a force that is known yet never fully understood. Much like a boat, we from time to time need to perform tasks that help with maintaining a healthy state of being. We experience conditions that are always changing and require adjusting, and possibly redirection. Anxiety, anxiousness, uncertainty and fear may be a result when facing these changes and we may respond in ways that result in drifting off course. We may find ourselves fighting against that force that is powering our journey, and like a boat whose sail is luffing, we find ourselves slowing down and at times, not moving at all. Our purpose here at Graceful Winds is to create and provide opportunities of fellowship, to encourage, guide, equip, and anchor an individual within a supportive community in hopes of exploring and experiencing what one can do to return to, and remain true to the course!

Let us take you out for a sailing lesson/cruise on the sound! For those wanting some time out on the water and would also like to learn and test their abilities as a member of the crew, we are more than glad to provide you with opportunities to do so.

Graceful Sails

Navigating out on the water requires the trimming and shaping of sails, and at times, changing the heading. When facing the unpredictable, and at times, difficult conditions out on the water, many lessons can be learned. Join us to discover how these lessons can be applied to daily life and explore ways we can adjust to remain true to our own course!

The boatyard is a place the crew here at Graceful Winds finds themselves hard at work. Boat maintenance is a must and needs to be performed often. Although, the work is not always the most enjoyable, or as fun as being out on the waves, it is necessary! This program provides the opportunity to join others in pursuit of a common goal and the restorative outcomes from getting the hands dirty!
